H.P Lovecraft's The Hound and other upcoming releases
Cadabra Records has just released an absolutely beautiful one sided LP of H.P. Lovecraft's The Hound. The story is read by the utterly amazing Andrew Leman and I provided the soundtrack. For this release, I played acoustic and electric guitars, synthesizers, tamboura, violin, harmonium and voice. Dave Barbaree contributed all of the outstanding bass guitar on the soundtrack. As with everything I do musically, it was remarkably produced by Barry Knob at Retro City Studios. The jaw-dropping artwork is from the magnificent artist, Sam Heimer. Horror and weird fiction scholar and the authority on all things Lovecraft, S.T. Joshi has contributed marvelous liner notes as part of this release.
It is an absolute joy and a great honor to continue to work with the visionary, Jonathan Dennison and Cadabra Records. By the end of this year, our third collaboration will go out into the world in the form of Edgar Allan Poe's The Tell Tale Heart which I'm incredibly excited about as it features an exceptional reading from the powerhouse, Anthony D.P. Mann along with more mind melting art from Sam Heimer. More on this release soon.
2019 is already shaping up to be an exceptional year with the recently announced release of Thomas De Quincey's Suspiria de Profundis: Levana and Our Ladies of Sorrow, that I scored to a tremendously powerful and poetic reading by Laurence R. Harvey and will feature extraordinarily haunting art from the legendary visual artist, Al Columbia. Watch this space for further details about this special record and other soon to be announced vinyl only releases in the new year.
